This week I’m honored to be preparing for a men’s breakfast with my local church’s brothers in Christ here in Merced. One of the songs I’ve chosen to lead is STRONGER – SEE LINK TO HILLSONG ON YOUTUBE.
There is love that came for us
Humbled to a sinner’s cross
You broke my shame and sinfulness
You rose again victorious…
You are stronger; You are stronger
Sin is broken
You have saved me
It is written
Christ is risen
Jesus you are Lord of all
As I write this short post, I’m simply desiring to encourage us as God’s children to enter God’s presence and promises today, to worship God with our response to Christ’s death in our place! In my devotions this morning, I read about the journey of God’s children from Mount Sinai to the Promise Land of Canaan. We too are journeying from Calvary’s Mountain to Mount Zion (Heaven). And, what a journey we’re on, right?! May we journey on, refreshed as we worship our King, trusting His sovereign and good hand in our lives!
Something to really meditate on is the very presence of God in us, the Holy Spirit, the gift God the Son – Jesus – promised us before he ascended into Glory with the Father God. What a mercy of God to put His very presence not only around us but within our very being as followers of the Living Jesus Christ!
You are stronger, Oh God! You have saved us! Christ is risen! Jesus, You ARE LORD OF ALL!
Surely, it is written that Christ is RISEN!
He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” (Matthew 28:6-7 ESV)
