Selling the Cabin, Neighboring Update

It’s been a little while yet again, but here I am placing a quick note out there. We have decided to sell our Lake House and are presently in escrow to sell it at our asking price. Praying and trusting God as we walk through this process. It’s truly not fun to sell this property as it’s near and dear to own property in my home town with access to my youthful work days’ location – Twain Harte Lake. At one point I was the head lifeguard at this lake and lifeguarded there from around age 14 to 20. It’s amazing in another respect though to walk confidently into more house flipping and more careful attention to my business here in the Central Valley. God has provided me with a clear vision for hiring and developing team members here in my business through working with a sourcing process that helps folks get back into the work force.

With all that’s going on in the world, it’s exciting to be involved in some positive things. Please pray for continued provision both in business and ministry. A neighbor and I are studying God’s Word together almost weekly both in Proverbs and in the Gospel of John. It’s been a really encouraging process. My prayerful hope is to see this study work its way in time into more men in the community and maybe others in time, maybe even becoming a re-birthing of a house church ministry. God guides!

Not an extensive post, but it’s an update.

The flip phone focus has continued to go well, but God’s led me to add to this a very specific focus:

CULTIVATE – It’s my belief in prayer that God has led me to cultivate other’s souls through loving open-ended questions and follow-up service in response to what I hear. Pray for me as I seek particularly to cultivate my wife’s soul as we prepare for baby number four! As this birth nears, my prayerful hope is to be a better and better husband and father. So grateful to God for these roles! As we land on our feet, I hope to also get more involved in a local church for a series of months and possibly then step back into house church ministry. God will lead however! Carrie and I know this will be particularly busy having two babies under two and two older grade school kiddos all at once! What an adventure. Neighboring has continued to be what God has led us to as our primary ministry as well as ministry through business activity. God leads!
