The humble are the happy.

It’s true. Show me a man or woman who is proud and he or she will be the most discontent and unhappy soul in the room. Show me someone of humble nature and disposition, genuinely aware of God’s goodness and glory above self oriented pride, and Ill show you someone who gets true and lasting joy.

What a delight to be caught up in the good nature and pleasures of God. What a wonder to know this living God as worthy and wonderful and ready to show up in our prayers and daily lives if we will simply submit our pride to Him in humble confession of sin and plead the cross and Jesus’ sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin and then cling to the Spirit of God, God’s Word, and the fellowship of believers for steady growth in grace!

What a truly wonderful God we serve.
