What part of the world are we called to go into and to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus’ life and death and resurrection and glory for the godhead? We are called to “all the world”.
A friend of mine pointed out that all of us cannot all go to every part of the world.
My Dad and I have long discussed that crossing into other cultures as Americans is often done in sloth and at great expense and Americans often are the most expensive missionaries to send into distant lands.
Where do we go from here?
We seek You, LORD, on this matter! What would You have, LORD?! We seek to display and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ wherever and whenever You would have us to do so which is everywhere and always. Yet, we ask specifically that You would direct us! My clear sense of calling recently to reach the people of India is unshakable, LORD! May You continue to guide and give wisdom. I’ve long enjoyed my friendships with the people of India and I look forward to hearing further instruction. Thank You for giving us many Indian people here in the Central Valley of California! Please lead me to connect with someone here who can introduce me to paths of interaction and Gospel impact!
We love YOU, LORD, and I pray specifically that You would lead Your children into more and more healthy Gospel community multiplication so that we would not look for escapes from obedience but instead run into paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake!
Each of us is called, I believe, to a specifics people group to reach and serve while also being faithful in our domestic mission fields!
LORD, this is my understanding as I seek Your face in prayer and as I read Your Word and through experience! Please, LORD, move in and among and through Your people to reach the nations for the glory of Your great name!
[[And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.]] – Mark 16:15-20
