Ransomed & Our Usefulness

Since Jesus died for our sins we will today…

Agape love being placed into our lives by the Holy Spirit means that we will today…

The Father loves us. The Son of God loves us and laid down His life for us. The Holy Spirit has been given to us and is now confirming and deepening our intimate relationship with the Godhead (Father, Son, and Spirit) in real time, so we will now, while today is today…

These kids of if/then phrases have been tearing us up as a Jesus community. We can’t sit by when we have so much to be grateful for and to show our gratitude for before God! We can’t think we will ever “pay God back” for what He has done for us and given us, and yet we must passionately live lives of ministry as Jesus ministered in this world! It’s better that Jesus went to the Father’s side and sent us the Holy Spirit!

My friend who was just baptized used to have a demon that people had seen over his shoulders with their own eyes, even with two people at a time confirming that saw it and were freaked out by it. We prayed passionately a couple of months ago for a special awareness of the Holy Spirit in my friend’s life, and that night he had a very real sighting of an angel in his apartment portraying Jesus to him, walking through one of his walls and sitting in one of his chairs.

It was truly a faith builder for us in our partnership in the Gospel.

We have been praying for more and more of an awareness of God’s presence with us as Jesus said He would be with us always even to the end of the age!

We are most useful when we are intimately pursuing awareness of Jesus being our ransom for sin, dying in our place, and when we are genuinely seeking intimacy with God in His Word and the work of the Holy Spirit to will and to work for GOD’s GOOD PLEASURE instead of our sinful wanna-be pleasures.

May God be exalted in and through us, and may many come to faith in Jesus, friends!
